Valentina Dalla Giovanna was admitted to the Brussels Bar in November 2019. She joined the Rawlings Giles law firm in February 2023. Prior to joining Rawlings Giles in 2023, Valentina has gained two years’ experience in the law of new technologies.
She obtained her master’s degree in law from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, with a specialization in public and international law, during which she did her Erasmus (exchange program) at the Freie Universität Berlin.
Alongside her lawyer’s practice, Valentina is a legal researcher at FARI – AI for the Common Good (VUB-ULB), where she works on applied research projects designed to make the law clearer and more accessible in the face of rapidly evolving technologies and practices. She focuses particularly on the regulation of artificial intelligence — notably the AI Act — as well as data law and medical law.
Her legal practice focuses on data protection law and on the freedom of speech in the digital age.
Additionally, Valentina also treats cases in medical law, contract law and more broadly on commercial and civil law. She handles cases in French, Italian, English and German. She also has a good passive knowledge of Dutch.
