Thomas Espeel graduated from the University of Louvain-la-Neuve (UCL) cum laude in 2017. In 2018, he obtained an additional Master of Laws (LL.M) in Information & Communications Technology Law at the University of Namur (UNamur) magna cum laude.

Thomas specialises in Intellectual Property (IP), IT and data protection law.

He regularly represents and assists Belgian and international companies, from the public and private sectors, in the context of litigation or their compliance with the applicable legislation in these matters.  

Thomas also has a strong interest in negotiating and drafting contracts for complex IT-based projects.

Prior to joining Rawlings Giles in 2022, Thomas has gained experience for four years as an attorney in an international law firm specialised in IP/IT & data protection law.
